Live news updates: A union leader said on Monday farmers will step up their protests at Delhi’s borders if the government doesn’t by November 26 repeal three laws liberalising India’s agriculture markets.

“From November 27, farmers will reach the border at the movement sites around Delhi…,” said on Twitter Rakesh Tikait, who spoke for the Bhartiya Kisan Union, the collective that leads the protests.
