New freight train links east China’s Wuxi with Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan

A freight train carrying over 1,000 tonnes of goods with a combined market value of 30 million yuan ($4.4 million) recently left the city of Wuxi in east China’s Jiangsu province and headed for Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.  The train will pass through Jiangsu’s Lianyungang city and the journey will take about 20 days.

The train service reduces the time taken compared to sea route transport by at least 20 days. 

Local foreign trade enterprises faced difficulties in exporting products because of the pandemic, and this freight train service is helpful to them, according to an official news agency.
