India’s Pratibha Syntex celebrates World Cotton Day

Pratibha Syntex, an India-based sustainability-oriented, vertically-integrated manufacturer of knitted textile products, celebrated World Cotton Day today on October 7 by organising farmers convention at Petlawad in the Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh. It was attended by 250 farmers. CITI CDRA agriculturist Dr RS Tripathi was chief guest on the occasion.

Addressing the session, Dr Tripathi said that farmers should have curiosity to improve their production. “Their curiosity will lead to increase in their income.” He suggested that cotton crop should be grown because their roots go deeper in soil than other crops and loosens up the soil.

Pratibha Syntex Ltd managing director Shreyaskar Chaudhary expressed gratitude towards the farmers for associating with the company. He told them that the cotton grown by them is reaching to 40 countries.
