The number of employed persons rose by 285,000 to 31.574 million in the month compared to the October figure. The seasonally-adjusted employment rate was 48.6 per cent with a 0.4 percentage point increase. This rate was 65.7 per cent for men, 31.7 per cent for women.
The number of unemployed persons aged 15 or more increased by 23,000 to 3.576 million in Turkiye in November last year compared to the October figure, the household labour force survey found. The unemployment rate was estimated at 10.2 per cent with no change over the previous month’s figure; it was estimated 8.8 per cent for men and 12.9 per cent for women
The number of persons in the labour force was 35.15 million in November last year, with an increase of 308,000 persons over the previous month’s figure.
The seasonally-adjusted labour force participation rate was 54.1 per cent with a 0.5 percentage point increase. This rate was 72.1 per cent for men and 36.4 per cent for women in November 2022, an official release said
The seasonally-adjusted youth unemployment rate in the 15-24 age group was 17.8 per cent in the month, with a 2.6 percentage point decrease compared to the previous month’s figure. This rate was estimated 14.4 per cent for men and 23.9 per cent for women.
