India’s Reliance Industries cuts prices of PTA, MEG & MELT


Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has decreased prices of purified terephthalic acid (PTA), monoethylene glycol (MEG) and MELT for this week. Earlier, the company increased prices of these raw material of polyester, but it reduced prices of polyester staple fibre (PSF). RIL is the largest manufacturer of PSF and raw material PTA, MEG and MELT in India.

According to the market sources, RIL reduced PTA price by ₹1.20 to ₹85.80 per kg. MEG was priced at ₹52.30 per kg with cut of ₹1.50 per kg, while MELT was priced at ₹91.57 per kg with decrease of ₹1.54 per kg. The company earlier increased prices of these raw materials.
