GDP up by 0.2% MoM in euro area, EU in Q3 2022


Seasonally-adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.2 per cent both in the euro area and in the European Union (EU) in the third quarter (Q3) this year compared with Q2, according to a flash estimate published by Eurostat, the EU statistical office. In Q2 2022, GDP had grown by 0.8 per cent in the euro area and by 0.7 per cent in the EU.

Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, seasonally-adjusted GDP increased by 2.1 per cent in the euro area and by 2.4 per cent in the EU in Q3 2022 following a year-on-year (YoY) rise of 4.3 per cent in both the euro area and the EU in Q2.
